Zone Conferences with Elder and Sister Pearson

We were so blessed to have the Pearsons visit our mission. He is a seventy.  We were all strengthened and are more dedicated to being true disciples of Christ.  Thank you so much Elder and Sister Pearson.

This is the JAX West, Lake City and Gainesville Zones

The fun part of Zone Conferences is seeing each other.  Sometimes it's a long time between visits with good friends.  The sisters got together and shared clothes.  It like a sister missionary mall!

Sister Johnson and Sister Liku

Happy Birthday to Sis. Liku, Elders Toney, Scott, White, Banner, Tate, Huff, Blair, Harper, Olsen, Taylor and Doehler

I got smart and took one picture of the whole group eating.  But that means you have to blow the picture up to see who you want.  Sorry!  Notice Elder Pearson standing in the middle, waving.

Baptism of Erin Sapp

Cannon Creek Ward in Lake City had a wonderful addition to their ward in Sister Erin Sapp.  She is the wife of Dallas Sapp who is a member of the church.  She has been investigating the church for 2 years and has been actively participating in the ward.  Many missionaries have had a chance to teach her but Elder Brandon and Elder VanGenderen where the ones teaching her when the spirit touched her heart.  It was a joyous baptism for the whole ward. She was baptized by her husband, Dallas.
Elder Blair, Erin's Mother, Erin Sapp - just baptized, Dallas Sapp - Erin's husband, Elder VanGenderen, Elder Brandon, kneeling,  the children are Erin's.

Transfer Day

Someone recently commented that the blog makes it look like all the missionaries do is eat...so true!! If the truth be known they work hard and eat just right but when someone else feeds them they really chow down.
I thought it would be good to show non-eating pictures. This is transfer day. All those being effected by a transfer meet at a church in Jacksonville. We conduct training for the trainers and new missionaries. Then we meet with everyone being transferred to receive training and hear where they are going and who their new companion will be. It's a happy exciting time as they meet loved missionaries that they haven't seen for a while. You can see the joy on their faces. I will only name those facing the camera

President Gonzales

We were blessed to have President Gonzales, one of the seven presidents of the Seventys visit our mission. He came and went quickly but left a powerful impression and inspired training for the Zone Leaders and President and Sister Barry. He is truly an inspired man.

FJM Newest Missionaries

These missionaries are very prepared to serve. We commend their parents for their diligence in teaching and training them.Standing: Elder Larsen, Elder Craig, Elder Brimhall, Elder Hinton, Elder Larrocha, Elder Camp, Elder Arkell, Sister Prettyman, Elder Drake, Elder Clements, Elder Jensen.
Sitting: Elder Waechtler, Elder Rhodes, Elder Tenney

This is a great new group of missionaries

It's always fun to pick them up at the airport. They are so excited and their eyes are wide with anticipation. It's always quite a feat to get them and their luggage where they belong.

We bring them to the mission home and feed them. It's the best way to break the ice.
We invited Pres. and Sister Berry to the evening's activities. He is the president of the Jacksonville West Stake. (No, he isn't related)

I am amazed with the maturity and goodness of these missionaries as they end their mission. They have prepared themselves faithfully in the past two years to now go on to greater things. We are proud of them as I am sure you are also. We miss you!!Elder Wilson, Elder Trott, Elder Atherton, Elder Brown, Elder Kelly, Elder Chadburn
