Transfer week

Hello family and friends of the Florida Jacksonville Mission. This entry is about our last transfer meeting the first week of April. Below is a little idea of what transfer meeting is like. We really enjoy getting together for a hello and a good-bye to those coming and going. We have the new missionaries introduced by their trainers. In addition, we have a memorization competition by zones. We all memorize the same scriptures every transfer and then see what zone knows them the best with the departing missionaries as judges. The Gainesville Zone won this time. We also have training by Pres and Sister Barry on the focus of the month. The highlight is hearing the testimonies of the the departing missionaries and then President Barry announces the transfers. It's a fun and spiritual meeting.

We have a new Assistant to the President, Elder Aiono -on the left.  He will serve with Elder Jacobs, in the middle.  Elder Osborn has served faithfully as an Assistant for seven months.  We are going to try to survive without him!  He has been called as a new zone leader with Elder Wilkey, for the JAX West Zone
