Day 3 of Zone Conferences - Gainesville and Lake City Zones

Both of these zones cover areas of Florida that are considered the 'Deep South'. The saying in Florida is "In order to get to the South in Florida you have to go north". They call themselves "Rednecks" and are proud of it. Visiting these wonderful areas you quickly realize that Southern Hospitality is alive and well. Our missionaries serving in these areas really have to work to keep the weight off! We love the Southern people.

This third day of conferences was again very spirit filled.  We had a Doctrine & Covenants 50 experience.  The Gospel was taught by the Spirit and we all were "edified and rejoiced together".  It's a blessing for every member as we diligently attend our Sunday meetings, especially Sacrament meeting and diligently attend the temple. We all are edified and rejoice!  This is God's kingdom on the earth. 

GAINESVILLE ZONE
   It covers the southwest part of the mission.  It is a very large zone.  The Zone Leaders are Elder Howell and Elder Bennion. 

 

LAKE CITY ZONE
It covers the north west part of Florida (except the Panhandle).  Truly the South!  The Zone Leaders are Elder Lang and Elder Tuft.

We spread all over the church to do role plays.  President Barry and the Assistants listen and evaluate as they role play.

Thank you to the Gainesville Stake Relief Society Presidency for this amazing meal.  They had a Potato Bar, a Soup Bar and a Fruit/Salad Bar.  You would be proud of your missionaries.  There were a lot of fruit and veggies on each plate.
